HIMOINSA: OFFICIAL POWER SUPPLIER FOR THE RALLYE DU MAROC
- HIMOINSA, the leading company in the design, manufacture, and marketing of energy technology solutions, is joining the Rallye du Maroc adventure. The Spanish multinational, part of the Japanese Yanmar Group, is now the Official Power Supplier partner for the world’s second-largest rally-raid.
- The multinational, which specializes in energy technology solutions, will deploy generators, lighting towers, and battery storage systems to ensure the energy supply for all areas of the sporting event, from the teams’ welcome in Agadir to the race’s finish at the Zagora bivouac in the heart of the Moroccan desert.
- This agreement is not a first for HIMOINSA, which has previously served as the Official Power Supplier for the Dakar Rally. This accumulated experience, combined with the technical expertise gained regarding the specific needs of such competitions, strengthens HIMOINSA’s position as the leading energy supplier for major global rally-raid events.
HIMOINSA TECHNOLOGY RISE TO THE CHALLENGE OF THE COMPETITION
One of the unique features of rally-raids is the lack of pre-existing infrastructure at the bivouac sites.
Under these conditions, mobile power generation systems are the only source of electricity and lighting available to the convoy.
Added to this are the extreme weather conditions specific to this environment: daytime temperatures that can exceed 45 degrees Celsius followed by sudden drops at night, and winds laden with sand and dust that subject equipment to stresses far greater than those of any conventional application. The power supply must be guaranteed 24 hours a day, without interruption, to ensure the operation of essential services such as medical care, communications, safety lighting, and the operation of sports equipment.
TAILORED AND COMMITTED SOLUTIONS
To meet all these needs, HIMOINSA will deploy a fleet of equipment specially selected for its performance under extreme conditions.
The HR generators, designed for high-demand applications in harsh environments, will provide the power needed to meet the event’s high energy consumption. Dozens of units will be deployed over the nine days of the sporting event at the Agadir and Zagora campsites. Alongside them, state-of-the-art lighting towers equipped with high-efficiency LED technology will be installed to ensure optimal lighting while significantly reducing energy consumption.
The energy sector is committed to sustainable development and reducing environmental impact; this is why HIMOINSA is integrating its battery solutions into the competition’s energy infrastructure; the EHR | Battery Power Generator equipment will enable efficient energy management and distribution, thereby reducing the operation’s environmental impact.
